I know you can create PDFs in software like Open Office, but does anyone know of a bit of free / cheapish software that gives you the same functionality as something like Adobe Acrobat? [full version, not reader!]
The main need is to put comments onto a pdf. We're using the 30 day trial for Adobe Acrobat Professional, but to continue with it after the 30 days it'll cost a fair wack - hundreds of pounds ..!
Any ideas? Thanks.

Foxit Reader may be able to do what you want:
There's also Foxit Editor, but that costs money. What's New: Version 1.3: Type on ANY document!0 -
Thanks - the free versions of all the above don't look like they'll do much more then Acrobat Reader, but the pdf editor versions, whilst not free, are much cheaper than Adobe - $50 compared to £300 ...
