Dell tower motherboard upgrade?

Do Dell use custom size motherboards in their systems, such as the Dimensions (old and new), can they be easily replaced with ATX boards or are they custom sized and can't be replaced with generic boards?

For all the price of a case, if it doesnt fit, i'd just replace it too.
