Before anyone shouts at me, I have tried to look at old threads but can't find what I want.
Basically, I just want to watch digital tv. I don't play games, have a wii or anything like that, I just record programmes with a dvd recorder to watch later. Is it worth paying extra for a better make, or will one of the cheapo ones from TJ Hughes do me just as well. As long as it has freeview integrated and it's not going to go "blocky" on me, that's all I want.
Also, I only want a 23-27" screen, no bigger, and all the review sites I've looked at seem to mainly review the huge ones that take up half the house. Can anyone point me in the direction of a review forum where I can filter according to size, as I seem to have spent ages ploughing through lots of irrelevant stuff and finding very little that I want.
Much appreciated.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP ONES. You'll regret it. They suffer from poor contrast ratios, ghosting and lack of colour vibrance.
Stick with Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic. Plenty of good deals on the net about.0 -

It baffles me why people want massive screens that take up half the wall in their tiny lounge... It seems they either want television to dominate their lives, or they want a status symbol (or perhaps both).
If you can, the best thing to do is to go to a large retailer like Comet and make a note of the make/model of the ones you like the look of, then go home and find the best prices on the internet.0
