Plaster bottom inch of fireplace area on new build

Options
Plaster bottom inch of fireplace area on new build.

New house comes with fire surround and hearth and the middle bit (where fire fits in) is plastered down to final inch where it's just like rubbly hole. I wasn't bothered and didn't bring it up because I was going to get a fire installed, however seeing how expensive they are and I'm not gonna bother.

Contracts have been exchanged and I snagged the place a few weeks ago, do you think it's feasible that they will plaster the last inch if asked?

speak to the sales negotiator on site and explain you are unhappy with the finish and ask what they are willing to do about this, they may have a trades person on site working a bit further along the development who would be willing to touch up . with regard to snagging you may also find items when you have moved in so keep in touch with the sales/site staff
