Hi
I have a couple of little problems (I think they are little it you know what you are doing, lol).
1) When I click on Start to access the full list of installed on programmes I can only view 2 thirds of the list - the rest is off screen - so I can't get to those programmes. How do I make it smaller so that it is all viewable?

2. Whenever I try to print coupons etc I get the message that my printer is set to "keep printing". So I go into the printer, uncheck the box, click apply and try again and LO - the box has re-checked itself!! How can I stop this from happening?

thanks, in advance:beer:

For number 1:- right click on the windows bar down the bottom and select "properties" from here click on the tab called "start menu" then click on customise. You should then see an option called scroll programs. This is all you can do other than tyding up your start menu. As for number 2 Im not sure what you mean.

    1) try uninstalling some programs don't need / use. Or if you give more details then we can help more. (like is only half your screen working or something)
    2) What printer is it. Try reinstalling it with the latest drivers.

EDIT: phildamb method is also a good one for problem 1.

    Thanks Anthony and Phildamb.
Its a Brother DCP 115C - and yes, it just re-checks the "keep printing" box even tho I un-check it and click apply.
I'll try the other things re. the programmes menu and be back if I can't improve things - but no my screen is working fully.

Some printers software are set to only allow permanent changes to settings whilst the printer is not in use.
To set permanently go into control panel, printers/properties and do the change before you start printing.
Try organising your programs menu, create new folders in there and drop the others into them eg.
create a folder for all your photo stuff and another for all your office programs. and move the icons for them into there.
Do this by pressing start then right clicking on the programs icon then selecting explore or open from the menu that appears

    Hi
I've sorted the programmes problem by switching to scroll programmes so that's good.
But I can't persuade the blessed printer to do what its told despite following your advice! This means I can't print any money saving coupons which is a real drag ( and loses me money too :( ).
Any other ideas for this problem?
    thanks
