exchanging euros into pounds

I am an englishman living and working in France. I had a very cost-effective way of transferring my pounds to euros for my startup costs (e.g. flat deposit, buying a car) thanks to this site (cash withdrawal with Nationwide debit card) but now I'm receiving a monthly salary I would like to convert euros back to pounds for my savings since in the UK I get an interest rate of 6%, whereas in France I can only get 3.5%, but I can't find a way of doing this except at rubbish bank exchange rates.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

No, I'm asking for advice. Don't you have anything better to do?

Better than stopping spammers from making a profit? No, not really! :D

Yeah I did try that but didn't find anything I didn't already know.

I'm not a spammer, I just want to do a cheap transfer every month!

    try thomas exchange
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc
  • The best place by far to exchange currency is crown currency, they give you a quote online but if you ring them they give you an even better rate, all exchange outlets in my town were offering 1.15-1.17 for euros, I rang crown currency and they offered me 1.26, you will not find anywhere to beat there rates, don't know how they do it but I was'nt complaining. Just google crown currency exchange.
  • The OP would prefer the 1.15 rate or even lower as then he can get more pounds to the euro... 1.26 is great for my hols but won't do him any good.
