flights to usa?

i want to got to memphis on 17th october for 2 weeks, last week i could have booked a flight from glasgow to amsterdam then amsterdam to memphis at a cost of £377, unfortunatley i didnt book then and the same flight is now £578 anybody know if flights to usa go down nearer the time , i know it is becasue of the fuel increases etc , i checked the whole month of september and it is the same price. if anybody knows any sites that i could get a cheaper price please could you let me know

Not usually no. The nearer you get the more expensive. However the cheapest time of the week to buy flights is Tues - Thurs. Unbelievably some airlines do increase their flights over the weekend.
