confused over usage / supplier change
I in a mew flat and the girlfriend has called the previous tennants supplier to let them know we have moved in.
The plan is with E.ON - standard electricity plan.
I am trying to compare suppliers but obviously being a new property we have no idea of our usuage.
We have the following:
1 large fridge freezer
1 washer dryer (dryer not used)
1 electric cooker/hob
1 stereo
1 computer
hair dryer /strightners
Thats about it
We have no gas in the building and I think the heating is economy 7.
Any idea of rought usage?
Also looking at the metre it says property of E.ON - does that mean if we change suppliers they need to install their own equipment?

The average usage that energy company use for electric is 3300 kwh per year, if you use a comparsion site using that it will give you a rough guide to yearly cost,
And if the meter is econ 7 you should be able to switch easily, if it econ 10/12 you may struggle.
But you wont need to change equipemnt to find a new supplier hopefully as there maybe cost to this0 -
If you are using electricty to heat your home (ie E7 etc) I'd use 6600 as a guess to start (from energywwatch)0
