Currys TV stands

Ok Currys have done the decent thing and are now selling TVs at the lowest prices, but what about the accessories? I bought a "Serano 800" TV stand on 10th June for £69.99. Currys price today is £149.99 an £80 increase!!! How can that be justified?

So are you complaining that the price has gone UP?
Why not pop down to Currys and offer them the extra £80?
Seriously, I can understand why people are miffed when prices go DOWN after they've purchased, but this.....0 -
was it on special offer or part of a bundle?0

the serano 800 and 1050 stand were £149 and £170 for a long time with offers on when bought with, they went down to £70 for a while then went back up the other day, so they reduced the price for a while then put it back to the normal price,
i see nothing wrong with reducing prices of things when you have loads of them and then when you start to run out putting the prices back up to what they originally were.0 -
What they are doing is bumping up the price to £149.99 then next month claim 1/2 price sale , and all of a sudden the stand will be £74.99!0

There was no special offer on, it just seemed strange that in the same week as the big "Cant buy a TV cheaper" that prices of the stands more than double in price.
And can any tell me the difference in these

Do they need to justify it?
They can increase the price by £1,000 and do not have to justify the decision, it just means people wont buy them.0 -
Currys regularly do this with a number of products. They put the price up by 100% for a short while and then reduce it back to normal with the claim 'now half price'. I never buy anything from DSG group companies - generally dreadful service. There are better and cheaper outlets out there that are more deserving of my business.0
