thanks for the reply. I have been reading about stoozing since coming across the site and have unknowingly done a little slow stoozing in the past. Certainly would consider doing it again given the opportunity but the general trend at the moment appears to be higher transfer fees and lower limits, both of which must just about seriously limit the opportunities for stoozing these days.0 -

I've been rejected several times recently (by Tesco and Sainsbury's). If you're right and your success rate has fallen because your credit and/or debt is too high relative to income, wouldn't this have happened anyway, regardless of the current climate?
I can't say I've noticed a change in acceptance rates or credit limits. BT fees seem to be drifting upwards though.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

No, this wouldn't have happened anyway, I suggest. Not if credit card issuers have become stricter in the current climate and are refusing people they would previously have accepted (or are still accepting them but at lower credit limits).
This is my impression. However hard up you are, never accept loans from your friends. Just gifts0 -
Just a quick update to say that I've had a call to say my application has been accepted. Credit limit of £3200 which isn't great but high enough to get maximum cashback over 3 months where its 5%. Hopefully the card will arrive soon as I've got my car insurance due by the end of the month
