I am trying to send a word document to my Dad & when I attach it in an email, I get the following message:

One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:
1. Your current security settings prohibit running Active X on this page OR
2. You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.

As a result, this page may not display correctly.

How do I go about amending this. When I send the attachment - my dad doesn't get the file?

Sound like you have had a pop up for an Active X plug in that you have denied or you pop up blocker has blocked it.
Try revisiting the page whilst holding down the controll key see if that works. You could also try deleting you Internet history and cookies......
