There is nothing to stop you applying for a second Barclaycard, especially if you have been a good customer.

A third is slightly more difficult, but not impossible.

Try the in-bank 10m/0% in Martins article.

AFAIAA, all second Barclaycards are 'Mastercard' [and first cards are Visa] and these 0% deals only apply to Visa cards. Mastercards do come with something like 6.9% life of balance, but I think, unlike Visas, you can't apply for these online [I've tried it, and have been rejected with the message: "It appears you already have a Barclaycard..."]

[Anyone know a bit more about getting a second Barcalycard, and the benefits on them?]

    Thanks

I think it is Visa and Mastercard rules that you can't hold more than one of their cards with the same bank.

I think you can hold a visa barclaycard and a mastercard one and get offers on both, although you can't do transfers between them.

I think after closing your account there is a 6 month cooling off period before you can apply again at Barclaycard.

That cannot be true, I have two Visa cards with Halifax (and a Mastercard) and two Mastercards with RBS!

Below I have copied a posting on the Barclaycard website stating existing customers can get 6.9% for the life of the balance with NO transfer fee till the end of this month. get it while you can.

If you want to take advantage of our terrific 6.9% pa interest balance transfer offer, why not transfer outstanding credit or store card balances to Barclaycard.

You´ll benefit from this great rate on the amount you transfer until you´ve paid it off in full - and there´s no handling fee. You can transfer any amount providing that the total does not exceed the lower of £5,000 or 90% of your credit limit. Offer closes 31st October 2005.

Oh and to add the the discussion above, I have both barclaycards and have used their 2.9% for life of balance deal (offered earlier last year) on both. the only restriction was that i could only transfer up to 95% of my limit and my second card (mastercard) had a lower limit than the visa.
