Anyway, Spyware Doctor V3.2 has received a number of awards from computer magazines and is considered by some, to currently be the most effective removal/blocker tool. If you get this months PC Pro magazine (Issue 134 December 2005) you get the full application and 6 months of FREE updates (online registration required). Note that PC Pro is available in two versions – DVD and CD. I am not sure if PC Tools Spyware Doctor is distributed on the CD version.

Tried it a couple of weeks ago and found that when it's background scanning it hogs about 60% of the CPU for about 2 or 3 seconds in every 10 secs.
