Maestro isn't a credit card, it's a debit card

Banks that offer them with their current accounts are:

I hope you're aware that Maestro isn't as widely-accepted as Visa Debit cards? I had a Maestro once, was getting no joy from several merchants, finally twigged and switched to a Visa Debit card and never looked back since.

I've never encountered a UK retailer that didn't accept Maestro.... Where did you try and use it?

I've also never had a problem with maestro, just back from spain and accepted widely there as well. Just Ask your bank.

Never found anywhere in the uk that doesn't accept maestro. It was accepted in the US last year too

I've been using Switch or Maestro all my life and I've never come across a retailer who doesn't accept it either. I think Destroyingangel is just very unlucky or works for VISA.
