Protect Bathroom Window area

Hi All
Just had my bathroom done! My bathroom window is very close to the shower. So how do I stop water from entering the window area. Binds wont really do much here I think. I could use some kind of waterproof curtain but that might look weird.
Suggestions appreciated
Regards

err...what about a shower curtain???"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Did think about that, but as the window is not that big I thought a shower curtain may look weird. Obviously if I trimmed it down and made it more curtain like it could work...0

im afraid you wont stop all of the water.... got the same problem..... apart from wiping the window ledge after every shower.... which kids dont remember to do, it is very difficult to stopsmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

We will shortly be having a similar problem to solve as we will be having a bath installed with shower above. The shower will be mainly contained to a recess that the bath will be set into but with a window running along the side of the bath that isn't within the recess. There's no other way of getting a bath with shower above into the room. The intention is to have a tiled windowsill (i'll make sure it slopes slightly away from the window) so that splashes onto it won't matter so much. We will also have a shower curtain. I've seen a shower rail that you can bend to the shape you want that i'm intending on purchasing via ebay (now i'll never win an auction for it having told all you lot!!). Another idea is to try find a roller blind with waterproof material that will protect the window from splashback.

I'm liking the roller blind idea... Just wondering if the mechanism will start to rust or wear away being in a bathroom so near splashing water from the shower!!0

The roller mechanism should be higher up than where the shower water will fall...so no different to having any roller blind in the bathroom exposed to steam and condensation. Alot of the fittings on blinds are plastic anyway. Problem is finding one with suitable blind material in the first place... suppose you could buy a cheap blind and replace with standard shower curtain material...not sure how well it would roll up though as it needs to be quite flexible to wrap around the roller.0

Just googled "waterproof roller blind" ..doesn't look like it should be too great a problem finding a suitable one.0

The company I work for does a lot of shower replacements for bath for disabled facility grant works, my local independant blind company makes me made to measure pvc roller blinds for situations such as yours.
Hope this helps.0
