Micro ATX and graphics cards - easy question probably

I'm looking to build my own PC with an athlon 64 bit processor. I really like a micro atx case, but I don't know if it would be able to take my existing graphics card, it's a standard size agp one...
Is there enough room in a micro atx box for a graphics card?
Also: is it worth getting a mirco atx for an anthlon 64 bit? They're quite power hungry and atx boxes come with lower power supplies?

You can buy a more powerful PSU and replace it. If your budget stretches ... buy a case and PSU separately.0 -
Would cooling be a problem?0

The question about graphics cards isn't quite a simple yes/no. There are a great many micro atx cases available and not all of them have room for PCI cards. I find a good source of info is https://www.mini-itx.com, they usually include info about PCI support in the case descriptions.
If space is a problem, they also supply flexible PCI riser cable, a god-send for anyone trying to squeeze things into a small box.0 -
Pealy is right. It purely depends upon the case. Some MicroAtx cases will have enough space for a full size PCI/AGP card, others won't.
The same with the psu, some cases may come with their own smaller psu, so a standard one as a replacement may not fit.
The easiest way would be to post which case you're thinking of. Rather than MicroATX it may be worth looking a small form factor cases like the popular Shuttle brand.
With regards to the AMD Athlon64, they're actually very efficient cpu's and don't use up nearly as much power as they're Intel equivalents."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
