Halifax debit card fraud....help please

My friend has had three unauthorised transactions taken out of her Halifax Building Society debit card yesterday. Two for £800 and one for £210 to somewhere called Skycard in Gateshead.
She has called the Halifax and had the card stopped and reported the fraud. She was told to contact the police for a crime number.
Can anybody tell us what a Skycard is.... and how do we get in touch with them? A phone number she found online is constantly engaged.
Will the Halifax refund her money?
We will be most grateful for any help.

The only skycard I'm aware of is the viewing card from Sky (the expensive digital satellite company)0

Skycard is Sky's credit card.

Run by Barclaycard. It looks as if someone is using your friend's debit card details to pay off a Sky credit card. I expect they are milking people's bank accounts by making payments to the Skycard online using stolen card details, then taking the money out via a cash machine.
The transaction reference number will probably be the Skycard number to which it has been paid.
I'd get the Police involved immediately.
Skycard are on 0870 333 5470. Lines are open from 8am to 10pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on Saturday. IF SHE'S PHONED TODAY, SHE WON'T GET THROUGH!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
