Could somebody explain to me what kind of account this is and whether i'd incur charges on a monthly basis.

Many thanks in advance.

    I've got no advantage blue.
  • Current plus with no advantage blue is a standard current account with bells and but no whistles. It has a cheque book and maestro debit card/solo debit card plus a paying in book. Interest rate is 0.10% gross(don't shoot the messenger on that one).
NatWest Current Plus No Advantage Blue is what it says on the tin.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

  • Basicly you sign up for a normal account and they add on the advantage blue package for you, just to save you the bother of choosing ..... they'll presume you want it (they can always say you checked a box online or something later on). Then they charge you £6.95 a month (although looking at this statement it's more). You can request to have it cancelled but thats as far as it'll go, many wonderfull hours could then be spent being given the runaround, getting fobbed off, general chasing where the buck has been passed to and ofcourse the highlight of waiting for a call back that never materialises. I'm sure natwests paid online forum team ( natweststaffmember and kavanne) will have something to say.

I wonder who pays natweststaffmember to come on here, if they do not work for Natwest.

What an ars hole! How dare you come here and start on two of the most respected members we have! These guys are great and maybe you ought to accept that your personal vendetta against natwest will not sway others into your stupid claim!

If you'd bothered to read anything you'd have seen natweststaffmember was on the national news (BBC) as he was sacked due to these forums or something.

You're on another planet geezer

natwest do not and will never pay me to come on here, I am sure they will fire me if they ever find out who I am!!

Anyway, as someone who does the current account application for customers on a daily basis. No boxes are prechecked for the advantage blue. On that page you have to check one, but I understand how easy it is for someone who ISN'T familiar with the system to mess up. It's why I hate online applications!!
