Hi,
We're off to Florida soon with Virgin. We've got a hire car booked for 3 weeks with them (2 weeks that came included with the holiday, and an extra week that we paid for).
The issue is the insurance costs, they've quoted £399 for the 3 weeks, fully comp!!!!! That's double what I pay for fully comp for a year for my own car  ! I've asked if this is negotiable, but it's not. Can anyone recommend any alternatives, or ways of reducing this exhorbitant cost?
Tx for your advice.

To be honest its usually cheaper to book your car and insurance elsewhere with a company like airline-network. Whenever we travel with virgin we never take the car even when "free" because once their insurance is added on we have always been able to get a cheaper deal elsewhere. In your case i would ditch the car entirely and book car and insurance through another site- you will definitely get it cheaper that the price virgin quoted!:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0
