Now. I love chocolate but can't abide chips. And this habit seems to have worn off on my family.
My cupboard has - olive oil, groundnut oil sesame oil. Which of these? Or do I have to face Tescos tomorrow (armed with my misprice list?)
Should I stick out for corn oil?0 -
Groundnut oil should be fine
I'm the same as you, with the addition of peanut oil in my cupboard, and find most of the nut based oils are fairly interchangeable, depending on use. Just don't use the sesame oil :rotfl:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

It's a very pungent oil used a lot in chinese cooking and can also be used as a substitute for tahini in humus. A few drops of that in anything and you can taste it"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I never knew that, not ever having owned any. I must admit, from the list I would have guessed at that one being closest to corn since it's a seed based one, but in my defence, if I had posted my guess, I would also have suggested using the one that smelled the least strong to have less impact on the cake.

Good cake! By the way, the cointreau is not optional - it's compulsory! That is a lot of double cream though!! Does Nigella eat her own recipes? (If so, what is her secret!?)"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

I wish I knew!!! She has a fantastic figure considering all the food she eats! (as well as midnight raids on the fridge)
I only dare try her recipes about once a month as most are very high in calories!
