have you read the t & c`s of the company you are travelling with, i am afraid that with the cost of fuel rising like it is at the moment all airlines seem to be doing this, we fly to america in 3 weeks time, and i have been expecting to recieve a letter on the doormat asking us for more money, as yet nothing, and hopefully it is too late for them to try and ask us to pay more now, i suspect if you refuse to pay it, they will probably refuse to let you board the plane, you probably would not even get the tickets, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0

Pretty sure someone posted something similar a few days back. When you get the "letter" about surcharges, and you fly within 30 days, according to ABTA,you arnt obliged to pay.0

who is the provider? which agent did u use?
if you are travelling within 30 days of the provider issuing a fuel surcharge and they are abta bonded abta say you dont have to pay it...so for instance if today goldtrail announced a surcharge anyone travelling within 30 days or whatever abta have said wont have to pay but people travelling after the date will, no matter when they booked.
back in may, goldtrail issued one, that was the 22nd may and was agreed by abta as per terms and conditions of when you booked.
custom flights issued one but as they are not abta backed, I am guessing they had different rules.
we were advising people that goldtrail had informed us, anyone not having paid would be refused travel, and the tickets do often have a fuel element attached to the breadown in the first place.
double check with your agent as there may have been a mistake.0
