Just thought I'd 'bump' this thread to alert everyone to the consultation document on the DfT website - see the new link in the first message.

They want to delete the following from the eligibility of the national pass:

- Services on which the majority of seats can be reserved in advance of travel (e.g. the 'registered sections' on National Express services);
- Services that do not run at least once per week for a period of at least 6 consecutive weeks (e.g. special events services);
- Services operated primarily for their historical interest or for tourism (e.g. tourist buses.);
- Rail replacement services
- Services where the fare charged by the operator has a special amenity element (e.g. parking fees - Park & Ride.).
