Phone Home (UK) from Abroad

When I go abroad my first port of call is the country of destination's National Post Office and ask for a Global Phone Card for calling the U.K. (this can be a just like a receipt),you phone the number on the bill then enter the pin number then dial the number you want, a lot of numbers to enter but worth every penny, these can be used vie your UK Mobile but I recommend using a landline you can even use then from your hotel just check with the reception first and ask for the correct outside line number and that they will not charge you for them(sometimes they require a small connection charge) or Phonebox as you will get approx 3-4Hrs for £10, If you use your UK Mobile and Sim with this it will still be Cheaper than just using your mobile as normal but not as good as a normal line.
Banana Cards are very good from Germany,
Global Card 100 from Denmark are exellent
IDT Cards from Belgium,

Remember BT Phone cards can be used from abroad if you ask BT for the Country of destination access code to U.K.
