British Gas Home Care

I took out British gas Home Care policy in April. They told me a would have an initial inspection 'shortly'. After 35 days no visit and told it was impossible to do one until 19th June (75 days)
I noticed my water pressure on the boiler was was low and phoned BG and was told that I was covered to call out on Home Care Policy. Following morning BG Engineer turned up - and then said they were refusing to cover my system - the faults were minor -(even though I had paid 2 months cover).
Wrote aletter of complaint to BG - No Reply - Phoned up and told by
"BG Customer Care" that he couldn't see what I was complaining about and that my complaint was not worthy of a written reply.
Bottom line is: You are not covered even if you think you are.
Anyone had similar experience or able to give me advice?

Im not sure what your rights are here, we have belonged to BG for many years and have not had any significant problems with them. I would have thought that their initial check would have been done much sooner as I understood this was when they made the agreement to insure your boiler/central heating so if this is the case maybe they shouldnt have been taking your money before this initial check was done. If im right maybe you could ask for a refund of the two months payments and this would go towards paying someone to sort your boiler. Perhaps someone else on here would confirm if this is correct.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494
