found cheaper ticket after buying fm ebooker

I have bought 2 etickets from Ebookers 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, I just have a play with the web to check for the price from travelsupermarket. It turns out that my exact flight, with the same airline and same date, went 50 pounds cheaper each. (so that's 100 pounds in total!) I have called the Ebookers, but they said they cannot do anything. If I want to cancel the flight, the airline will charge me 100 pounds for that. Just wondering if anyone have the same experience and anything I can do.
Thanks

You booked a non-refundable ticket so no there's nothing you can do.
I don't really understand why you'd want to keep on checking the price when you'd already booked at a price you were (presumably) happy with.

I can't imagine there is anything you can do. Prices of flights go up and down. If the flights had gone up in price would you have been happy to pay £100 more?
  • Found a good flight with eBookers to Fort Worth, had enough Nectar points for two tickets with American Airlines, but as I scrolled down I found that their was a charge of, wait for it, £310 nper ticket allegedly tax. American Airlines only charge £396 per ticket total. Surely eBookers are taking us for a ride

As much as I dislike ebookers they are not. It's common to see ticket prices to America of under £100 (in your case £86) with the tax taking them up. I imagine the £299 BA flights to New York are only about £50 + tax.

Oh, if you don't believe me, here is an American Airlines breakdown of tax Heathrow - Dallas Fort Worth:

    ADT Tax: 40.00(GB) 19.70(LHR) 25.70(US) 2.30(DFW) 223.00(ZZY)

    Total: £310.70

    Thanks

This happens to me every time I book a holiday :rotfl:
Just remember, you were happy with the price when you booked the holiday or you wouldn't have opted for that particular flight.
Promotions occur on many flights, package holidays, hotel room stays at unpredictable intervals. Just be thankful it wasn't more!
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small
