Now I'm no electricial but I think the chances of that working and reducing your electric bill as they say are somewhere between slim and none!
Looks like a bit of a scam to me.0 -
my thoughts indeed
why I ask is one of their vans arrived in our front drive a few minutes ago mistaking us for our neighbours across the road.....who are obviously thinking about getting one!0 -
If this were possible, it would have to be on the incoming supply, not plugged into a socket. However as it's not possible I don't suppose it matters where you put it, but I could make a recommendation for anyone that has one.This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Snake oil. Improving the power factor of a domestic supply has no effect on your bills.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Just had a quick look and these type of things have been discussed on here before, and the experts say they are not worth it.
Take a look at this thread

As we have discussed several times - including in the thread posted by Geordie above - these are a complete waste of money.
However I have been puzzled how they dare make such outrageous claims of savings; and I have an idea!
Should you have enough spare money to [strike]waste[/strike] spend to generate your own electricity by solar/wind or even your own diesel/petrol generator then power factor correction is a factor to be considered.
Obviously if you are one of the 99.999% of people that get your electricity from the National Grid they are a waste of money; but could this be the 'get out' clause for such misleading rubbish?0 -
Hello to everyone.
It always amuses us Doctors when members of the general public put
forward their non-scientific theory's in relation to certain events or products.
I have provided this link which should dispel any arguements as to
whether or not the energy saving product called Power Tune works;

Thank you.
