I have just purchased the above but would like to know how european post codes work and also are there area codes

E.G Warner Brothers Movie World

46244 Bottrop-Kircchhellen

Is the first 5 numbers a general area code Bottrop the Town and Kircchhellen the street

And would this vary country by country
