My OH and I have just installed our wickes 'chicago' kitchen. We are really impressed with the quality of the fittings, units and the instructions that came with them. I couldn't rate them highly enough if you want a good quality, reasonably priced kitchen.

Are you sure it's called "Chicago"? I can't find that make, either in the brochure or online.
Anyway, is it a take-away model? I'm looking at the Edmonton range and would love to hear people's experiences.

Edit: I found the Kitchen and it's not from their take-away range.

They all (not Ikea)seem to offer to beat like for like deals, so expect at least another 10% off, once you have it in writing - & you've decided who's you want!!

We've just had a Wickes kitchen fitted and we're over the moon with the quality. Our experience was totally different to yours. The kitchen designer at our local Wickes was 1st class and not a high pressured salesman. We nearly 2 hours with him and no pressure to order anything we didn't want. We picked a kitchen fitter from a list of independent builders who are known to have undertaken installations on behalf of previous customers. Our fitter was superb and I would happily recommend him to my family and friends. He completed the job in 5 days and the standard of workmanship was 1st class. Our kitchen needed an awful lot of work doing to it and it wasn't cheap having the work done but it's worth every penny to have such a super kitchen. The kitchen itself Manhattan is wonderful quality & looks really smart.
