pictures in vista home premium

got my new baby yestarday
no the computer still another 5wks before he arrives
spent yest getting my head around vista down loading programs and drivers to where i wanted them to go (was on xp)
THE PROBLEM
in the picture file have 2 problems
1 files wont show details of photos inside, xp let you show 1 or 4 photos on the file cover.
2 when a file is opened you get 200 imagesof vista photo, instead of the actual photo's
this is going to be a pain if i have to open 5500 photos to see what's on the image!!

Open the folder in Explorer
Click on View and scroll down through Icons, small, large, tiles etc.0 -
no still looking at screen shots not my photos when i open it up.
each folder has over 200 photos so have to go through them 1 by 1WAS DEBT FREE & STILL BAAARRRRRKING :cool:

ok got something near what i want by setting m/s office picture viewer
but would like this to be how i open the file to start with eg
1] photos
2] 2008
3] wales june
4]here im looking at files then
5]open pic manager
6] now looking at my photos
i would like to cut out stages 4and 5

Not sure what the problem is but I'd recommend you download Picasa, it will search for all your pictures index and display them.

Why not just use the Windows Photo Gallery software which is included with Vista and is pretty good. No need to get Picassa really.It's my problem, it's my problem
