My emails are completely deleting themselves!

I have no idea what has happened, whether it was one of my kids or a virus but all my emails in my outlook express have completely gone. I had 2 years worth and they've vanished. They are not even in the deleted items file. I thought it was a one off but again today all of yesterdays emails have dispappeared and again they are not in the inbox or anti spam or deleted items folder.
Anyone know whats going on and how to remedy this problem?

    One thing to check ... In the menus, click on View and make sure Show All Messages is selected.

    Oh what a muppet i am! Thanks so much Dave that was the problem. My little boy was messing with the keyboard & i bet he did it.

    So have you backed up your personal data then? If not you are a definitely a muppet. See here for details how, as your e-mails could have been gone for good.
