I just think they could be more upfront about the true cost of the flights, i don't mind paying for the flight but it feels underhand to charge half the cost of the flight for payment charges.

How much more upfront can they be, Ryanair have always revealed and highlighted what they deem to be another form government taxation and openly divulge this information to the paying public, they are pretty transparent and the likes of BA should follow suit. Look at the bottom line, if you like it, pay it, if you don't then stay at home. I wish more companies would break down their costs on purchases so that the paying public are aware of who gets what.....
Fuel would be very interesting, why not advertise Diesel @ 46p a litre (its current price) then when you get to the checkout they can then add the 50.5p duty, 19p vat and 12.5 delivery charge.......

There was a excellent article a while back in the Observer breaking down the average Ryanair flight costs and profit margins, fascinating figures that show everyone where their money goes

    Who gets what?
Ryanair currently charge a £4 card payment fee per passenger per one-way flight. This in no way reflects the cost of processing the payment, since the card companies will take an amount per payment (considerably less than £4 on most purchases). The £4 per passenger per one-way flight charge is simply a way of charging more for the service but keeping the 'headline' advertised flight cost as low as possible. Its a bit like seeing a shirt advertised for £10, taking the shirt to check-out and discovering that they will charge you another £5 for the button-holes!

I will no longer fly with Ryanair - not even on 'free' flights. I have all sorts of major concerns about them. I had a young lady tennant who worked for the company (on a more or less 'self-employed' basis). Many of the crew are worked to the point of exhaustion and every possible corner is cut. I was told that a lot of crew grow to have an extreme hate of the company and its management. Work out the rest for yourselves.....

Ryanair crew are mainy employed through an agency, so they don't get pensions, some are employed by Ryanair themselves. They also pay for their own training (around £1500), uniforms, acommodation during training and don't get paid for the training period. They also don't get crew food or water during their flights, like every other airline do.

I just think they could be more upfront about the true cost of the flights, i don't mind paying for the flight but it feels underhand to charge half the cost of the flight for payment charges.

But you still chose to fly with them?

You can't really question someones morals and then you choose to do business with them - smacks of hypocrisy!

It is like somebody saying how disgusting Primark's use of sweatshops is, but then going and buying something from them.

Half the site are not ranting about how unethical Ryanair are? At least you are admitting to being a hypocrite.

I can't comprehend somebody despising a company so much, yet still choosing to use them.

If you truly believe what you have stated about the way that Ryanair treat their staff, then basically you are saying 'I know they treat you like sh*t, but I don't care'?

I detest Ryanair, if they weren't over £100 cheaper than Easy i wouldn't have gone near them. They charged me £16 for paying with my debit card for a £42 flight!!!
I look at all the airlines and always try to fly with the cheapest. It matters not what they charge or what the headline fare is. I am only concerned with the net price I pay.
