GoToMyPC - freeware?

I liked the software that allowed me to control different computers from one location. However I want to control about four computers from one place. GoToMyPC added up once I added more computers, is there any software that does the same for free or less?

Cheers

    Try LogMeIn - it's free
Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!
  • Excellent, cheers mate.

Is there an issue about using my MAC to control other PCs?

As far as I know, it supports Macs and PCs. But I don't use Macs, so can't say for sure.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but how secure is the free version of logmein?
Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.

  • Try http://showmypc.com . They seem to have the most easy to use product, no nasty registration pages.. and good thing is it works with mac and pc . Plus, it is absolutely free . You can also personalize the look and feel for a paid monthly subscription, but for individual users like me, it works great. Beats to heck out of webex or gotomypc.com ... - Larry

Sorry, to also hijack this thread, but these sort of progs seem to be what I'm also looking for. I often have to update, run scans, etc. on my MILs desktop PC. Being able to do this remotely would help save a lot of time and enable me to 'enjoy' my visit rather than sorting out her PC all the time - she can't cope with anything apart from the basics! Which would you recommend?
I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!

My husband is very interested in this but wants to know, how exactly does it work - do the computers need to be networked together to start it or does it work via the internet (not really up on all this stuff!)

    Thanks for any help however!
