Endless Calls From 3

Im getting endless calls from "3" trying to sell me a mobile phone. Im sick of telling them I dont want a mobile phone. Im almost on the verge of using some very rude words when they next call. For the last two weeks or so, ive been called almost every day..and on occasions more than once! :mad:

Are you on the Telephone Preference Service?

If you are then they are committing an offence by ringing you.

Im not registered with the TPS, but I think I might as well give that a try.

Are you sure they really are 3? I ask because my son gets nuisance calls from a company that pretend to be '3' but when I ask them for information and contact details they are something else like 'free' which they just say quickly so it sounds like a legit 3 call.

I have been having huge rows with them and the call before last I played along with them and actually got chatting but i made them suspicious and they got angry and told me i was nasty for wasting their time pretending to be interested and how they work on commission only so I might have cost him that evenings meal for his wife and baby (yawn). I was told that if I didn't want these calls all I had to do was say so, so I pointed out that I had already told them that about 7 times and I was registered with the TPS service and he hung up after being abusive.

I seem to be getting MORE calls from all sorts of people since registering with TPS!

They 3 calls tend to be from India.I dont think TPS covers calls from Overseas.

It is suppossed to take a month before they can be fined for contacting you if you are on TPS.
I did seem to get more calls in that month but it has been much better since - well worth doing.

Im very sure the calls are from India. I can tell its them the moment I answer the phone. I get a few seconds of silence and then...they greet me and then I say to them "I dont want a phone...etc."

I got a call from a company claiming to be "3" last night. They told me they were updating their records and wanted to know when I can upgrade. When I challenged her, saying she should know this if she really worked for "3" she admitted she worked for a different company but said it very fast so I missed it. She then slammed the phone down!!!!!

I was fuming!

I got another of their calls yesterday (ive had about 4 since I posted the first time!). I was fuming, so I told the man that I would be contacting the TPS, but I wanted to first know if he was calling from India. He said he wasnt and if I wanted calls from India...he could arrange it!! This made me even more mad so I just slammed the phone down.

We get a lot of calls from India from companies INSISTING that they are going to save us money on our phone bill. I wish they'd just save money on THEIR phone bill by not phoning us.

When you tell them 'Thanks very much but I'm with your cheaper competitor and I know that your company in unable to match yours' they still won't accept that you're right and can get very aggressive and insist that I'm wrong. I wouldn't try phoning them and telling them what the cheapest call provider in India was. Perhaps I should read-up on indian telephone call providers and start trying to sell them on to a more expensive provider than they're currently using?
