    Model Me vouchers

Has anyone managed to use the 250pts Model me vouchers from the H&B mag without it bleeping?

Every time I have used one, it has had to be added manually by a Manager.

This has happened even when it is the only voucher I was using (Besides the £2 haircare voucher of course)

So, has anyone just sailed through this transaction

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing the sad news with us twice, in such a compassionate, caring way. I'm not good with words but you have seemed to sum up what I would have wanted to have said.

Wanted to say thank you to you too,for organising the collection for Jill and her family.

I can't begin to understand how Jill is feeling, but I want her to know that we're all thinking of her and her family. It has brought home our own mortality and I am off today to see my own parents cos I feel that I haven't seen them in too long now!

And if I happen to pass a Boots on the way.....

I think there is a problem with the ModelMe voucher. When I was there yesterday, the SA scanned it, it beeped and straight away he put it to one side, then put it through manually at end without checking with anyone.

    Bad programming, methinks.

I know exactly what you mean and many of us feel the same way. But can I just say that Jill would not want any of us to stop posting in the usual way at all.

We have all been touched by the devastation that Jill and her family have had to endure, because it has made us aware of our own mortality and that of others we love.

I think that it would make things even harder for her if we changed what we are doing, we can still show our sympathies and post regular messages. Jill made contact with everyone through the Boots grabbit thread and it is here that she has found so much comfort and support.

So please carry on Bootsing and getting bargains and posting the lists here. otherwise this thread may just fade away, or even close. None of us want that, especially not Jill.

I'm so glad you posted this, as I had started to do something similar this morning but couldn't think of how to phrase it so elegantly.

She had said while going through the tragedy of losing her baby that she'd hate for people to feel they couldn't talk about Bootsing on here, and I certainly wouldn't want her to feel in any way bad if the forum came to a standstill now. Let's keep Jill in our thoughts, but carry on with the forum, as I doubt she'd want things to be otherwise.

Nope, it still beeps. I used one today, and the SA was nice enough to put it through, though I told him I still wanted the item if it wouldn't work (I was using it with the ACM voucher).

I'm starting to think Boots purposefully has not input the haircare vouchers properly because the till spit is on and ACM offers are on. It will be interesting to see if they start working in a week! I sure hope so, as they are good until August and another good combo may come along!

Anyone get Cosmpolitan magazine? The August issue has a Readers' Summer Chequebook 2008, which I got because on another forum that I subscribe to, they mentioned it had competitions in too.

ANYWAY! They have an exclusive Save 1/3 Reader Offer, on Mark Hill full size product. They also have 5 topprizes to give away but I will leave that for the competition link.

How to use your Mark Hill Voucher.

Choose ONE product from the Mark Hill full size range.
Present your voucher at the till to part pay for the product you have chosen.

    Terms & Conditions
    1. This voucher is only redeemable at BOOTS and can be used in most Boots stores.
    2. Mark Hill or Boots are not able to replace this voucher or reimburse this voucher if it is lost, stolen or damaged.
    3. Please look after this voucher carefully and treat it just like cash.
    4. We are unable to exchange this voucher for cash.
    5. This voucher is valid for one transaction only and entitles you to Save 1/3 of the full recommended retail price of one product from the Mark Hill full size range.
    6. This voucher cannot be used in a transaction to pay for more than one Mark Hill product.
    7. This voucher expires on the 12th August 2008 when offers will continue in Boots stores.
    8. This voucher cannot be used in part payment for Mark Hill Little Gems & Full Size Gift Sets, Mark Hill Little Gems, Mark Hill Electricals or Mark Hill accessories.
    9. Only one voucher can be used per transaction.
    10. This voucher is not transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
    11. This voucher cannot be accepted on Boots.Com
    12. Offer excludes the Republic of Ireland

    Bar code 2064619030863

Now I wonder if this could be used in conjunction with the £2 till spit. I would like to try but as this expires on Tuesday, my birthday, and new ACM vouchers kick in on Wednesday, I am wondering if it is worth waiting for them to see if anything Mark Hill related is on there.....

Don't want to buy another Cosmo specially.

Just back from Boots, and had a pretty good shop! But I can second that you do not get 500 points for the £30 spend when you buy the PC baby bag and use a coupon to get it free, though the PC voucher for 500 points wys £10 on baby did work even though I didn't pay that much. Along the same lines, I also didn't get my 150 points for a £20 spend (but the SA kept the coupon as neither of us realized it didn't work). Still, I was well pleased. I paid £4.48 for items that had totaled around £50 before vouchers, earned 1384 points in my first shop, AND got the free baby bag!!

    I got:
Expert dry skin oil X 4
    Expert moist cream X 2
Olay Total Effects hand cream FF
Time Delay Night Cream (on clearance for 2.25 -- but watch out, as it scanned at 9.99 and the SA didn't notice, I only happened to glance up and see it -- I probably wouldn't have noticed as I had so many coupons and so much coming off, etc).
    Pampers New Baby

    I used:
2 Baby expert vouchers (different barcodes - PC)
    free baby changing bag voucher(PC)
500 points wys £10 on baby (PC)
200 points on Time Delay (mag)
600 points on Olay Total Effects (PC)
    double points -- boots mailing
    150 points wys £20 -- this didn't work

All the baby expert items came off as free, plus another £8.50 was deducted from my total! ;)

I don't know what to say. I have just come back from a morning at the shops and had had a nice time, so was ready to write a long post about what I'd bought and what else I'd seen, but catching up on last night's posts, I've read the news about Jill's mum and I'm speechless. Life is just unbelievably cruel.

Jill, I hope you can take some support and comfort from your cyber friends on this thread. believe in your strength, and look after yourself, with Jeff and Charlotte. My thoughts are with you and your family.

    Polls, thanks for posting.
