wow, only just back online from my last post about wanting to get some Clinique stuff. Palice thanks for such a brill, helpful post. I'm liking the idea of the Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer as my skin can be oily. I'm glad you mentioned the Anti-blemish stuff because I was interested in this but don't think I'll bother now
. Will go and have a nose at that site as soon as I've catched up with the thread. Thanks again must've took you ages to type up that lot
:T
You're right, the two items have to be skincare to get the GWP but they really are worth getting as they come in an adorable little bag and you get 3 decentish-sized samples per one. You could get the two skincare items plus the airbrush concealer (which is a good choice if you only want very light coverage/highlighting - the 'all about eyes' concealer is amazing if you want a lot of coverage) and then get your GWP and 1000 points (don't forget total spend ACM as well!)
The best GWPs to get are the 'Dullness' one, all three are fantastic products, and 'pores' with a great product (pore minimising instant perfector) a good product (dramatically different moisturising gel) and an ok product.
As you're a clinique newbie, this is a fantastic, unbiased overview of the range. You'll have to subscribe to the site to see reviews of individual products though.
These are some things to avoid:- Dramatically different moisturising lotion - Even though this is wildly popular, it is just a very overpriced, old fashioned moisturiser whose main ingredients are water, mineral oil (a type of vaseline) and other cheap oils.
- All the clarifying lotions except 'mild' - these are full of alcohol (on the label as 'alcohol denat.' avoid any product with this in) and this irritates the skin and causes free radical damage.
- All of the 'anti-blemish' products - again, these are full of alcohol and/or witch hazel which is also a skin irritant and this will not help blemishes
- Any moisturiser/eye moisturiser in a jar - these are a waste of money as the jar will expose all of the most high tech and beneficial ingredients (e.g. antioxidants) to air and they will not last.
- Bar soaps - these are very expensive for what they are, and all soaps are excessively drying to the skin of the face.
Face wash:- Liquid Facial Soap Mild or Extra Mild
- Comforting Cream Cleanser
- Redness Solutions Soothing Cleanser
- Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm or Milk
- Also, if you have any of the No7 stay perfect eyeliner (
) take the day off eye makeup remover is excellent - takes it off straight away with no rubbing!
- City Block (a little bit tinted but the SPF and antioxidants will keep your skin looking its best)
- Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base (but this has a green tint which may not be to your taste, it wasn't to mine)
- Redness Solutions Urgent Relief Cream
- Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturiser (Pricy, but I use this myself and it's fan-tastic.)
- Repairwear moisturisers (the ones in bottles, not jars)
- Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel (a very different formula to the lotion, and much improved)
All the serums are pricey but good, but the best are:- Advanced Stop Signs
- Repairwear Deep Wrinkle Concentrate for Face and Eyes
- Turnaround Concentrate Visible skin renewer (I use this and it's sort of a cross between a moisturiser and a serum and it's amazing, full of skin beneficial ingredients and perfect for oilier skins, or under a more emollient moisturiser for dryer skins like mine)
- City Block
- Sun-Care Body SPF 25 Sun Block
- Sun-Care UV-Response Face Cream SPF 30/50
- Sun-Care Body Gel SPF 15 Sunscreen
- Sun-Care UV-Response Body Cream SPF 30/50
- Sun-Care Lip/Eye SPF 30 Sun Block

I heard that if you have a gadget or something that you have dropped in water. You should leave it completely submerged in sand for a few days.:o:whistle:'I'm not a girl, not yet a woman!' :whistle:Finished my exams now! YAY!:j :j0 -
