I have meter readings for both gas and electricity and am very concerned about the predicted 40% increase! Can you get a capped rate on meters? Will a company Waver the fee for removing meters if I say I will switch?
Thanks in advance

I don't understand your post.
What do you mean by having the meter readings for both gas and electricity?
What is a capped rate on meters? and why would a company remove meters if yoy switched?0 -
Yeah I'm afraid I don't understand either. Gas and Electric meters aren't like Water meters - they aren't optional, you have to have them. If you are worried about the coming price rises then you need to find a good capped, price protection or fixed deal. Try uSwitch.0

Do you mean pre-payment meters? It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Sadly the company you are currently with will not waive a install or removal fee of a meter.
The fee for a pre paid meter is a standard charge of £80, this fee will be placed on your account and you will repay it over a 6 month slot.
Keep in mind that prepaid meters are often much higher in rates than paying the bill in full and within a set time to receive a discount.
The charges are going up and I would recommend if you are in doubt that you can afford or keep up with payments to contact your supplier as soon as possible in order that something can be arranged.
