Freshen up tile grout

A quick way to freshen up tile grout in the kitchen or bathroom is to use satin wood paint. Just paint it on and then with a damp cloth wipe off the tiles virtually straight away. (You can also polish any excess off later when it's dry). It's much easier to use than the tile grout whitening kits. I don't know how long it lasts because I accidently did it when decorating the kitchen and that's been done for a year now. It still looks white so I've just done the bathroom too.
