I have bought felt backed carpets for my bedrooms, but I am unsure which is the best underlay to go with them. I want good sound insulation (kids rooms are upstairs), and I don't want to have a shocking experience every time I walk in a room! LOL. A reasonable price would be helpful as well.
I'm totally clueless when it comes to these things so any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!!

i went for this;- http://www.carpet-underlay-shop.co.uk/cloud-9-cumulus-pu-carpet-underlay-1507m2-19-p.asp , not from this site however, found it was just about the best for thermal and impact noise insulation as well as being 5star comfort rated. we paid about £50 per roll delivered for 3 rolls last year. amazing comfort difference from our last undelay (was cheap muck mind). if nothing else you can use this site to compare togs and db levels of different underlays. hope this helps. Please note, we've had to remove your signature because it was sh*te!0

Hi there. Just bought some Tredaire Dreamwalk. We have wooden floorboards so I was wondering if it should be fixed to the floor with staples or not?0
