Travel insurance - pre existing condition

Hi,
I'm going to Florida next week with the family. My wife has suffered from migraine for years and recently had a CT scan for her migraine condition, just to be sure if wasn’t serious. Any way we've had the results back, all clear, however would i need to include this as a pre existing condition?
Thanks

Can anybody answer this?0

Is there a list of specific questions you have to answer "yes" or "no" to or does it just say "do yo have any existing conditions"?
If there are specific questions, answer them honestly. If not I would probably mention it just to be on the safe side.
I've had similar experiences with travel insurance and when I notified them they noted it on the policy but didn't change the levels of premium or cover.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
does she need regular hospital treatment for this?0

I would mention it to be on the safe side.0

She doesn't recieve any treatment for this. She only went for the CT scan in case it was something serious, which she was given the all clear.0

You need to mention it.
If is unable to travel because of a migraine or she needs treatment for it whilst there she will not be covered if it hasn't been declared.
It's very unlikely they will refuse cover or even charge extra if it is declared.0 -
to double check this, go online to your chosen Travel insurer, adn look in the term and conditions, I to suffer with bad migraine and have been hopsitalisz due to them but because I have not had any treatment in the last year from Hospital im fine,I have no need to declare it!
I say double check this as many company rip people off with Medial insurance.
I get prescribed meds from the DR for my migraines.0 -
A point to bear in mind.
Should you make a claim – falling ill on holiday, cancellation etc – you will be asked by the insurance company, before they make any payment, for a print-off of your medical record from your GP. This will list all your consultation / treatment details.
Anything shown will be scrutinised by the insurance company who will not be slow to find any reason for refusing your claim.0 -
Thanks for the replies.
My wife hasn't recieved any treatment, she only had a CT scan which was clear.0 -
A CT scan is still an investigation and should be declared.0
