jet2 flight April 2009

About to book a flight with Jet2 for next April (I was surprised they were out). Having never had dealings with Jet2 (although using them in Dec for Tenerife), do they have a tendency to cancel if you have booked well in advance???

Worried that I get all booked up and sort my accommodation and the flight is cancelled.........

I have flown with Jet2 3 or 4 times a year since their launch. I have never had a flight cancelled, time change or anything. In fact the longest delay we have ever had was just one hour! Maybe we have been very lucky but we have never had anything to complain about. I'm sure they must have the best reputation of all the budget airlines. Does anyone know?

Have flown with Jet 2, 2 weeks ago actually and had no probs - not all flights routes must be open for booking yet cos I just looked at Man-Faro for Easter and that is not on sale yet.

Have just looked at the list on the Which site. Personally I would have given them far more than 61% but nice to see them above EasyJet, Ryanair and even British Airways!!!

I would choose jet2 over any other budget airline...seem to be very reliable on the Belfast flights anyway...

I wouldn't book any flight on any airline that far in advance in the current climate. The flights are only available that far in advance to get cash in. They are highly subject to change as the schedule at this point is only projected. There will be airline casualties this winter. I'd let the airline scene play out for several months yet before booking. In any case April is usually a weak month for airline seats..you'll still get a bargain on it in 6 months time (barring public holidays)

  • Never had any problems with jet2.
Website says flights are onsale for 2009 on the news page as of 24th July.

Huge list of them but I can't get to any of them it says they are not on sale yet .
Just wondered if anyone else having same problem.

    Thanks,

I fly on Jet 2, 3 times each year. Have already booked next Junes flights. On a flight with them 4 weeks ago, we were talking to the air steward about fuel costs, and she informed us that Jet2 had prepaid for all its fuel until Dec 2010 to avoid any increases.
