Ok talked to boyfriend and we have made a desicion to go for a cheaper property for our first home. We were planning to get a house for around £180k but have now decided to try and get one for around £150k this way we will have plently money left over each month after mortgage bills etc.. so we will still have plenty of money left to enjoy! and still have lots of hols etc!

It is only our first home after all! We'll hopefully be able to get a bargain the way things are going with property anyway:)

Also added to my signature my aim to save for my trip to Australia!
In March next year I have booked 3 weeks with my boyfriend.. we're travelling up the West Coast of Oz then heading over to Cairns n Brisbane v... excited!!:D
Going to try and earn all of my spends via ebay! or atleast a good percentage of them! Im aiming for £1000 x

I have listed some items on ebay!

I have put my camera on for £500 by it now so hopefully that will sell.
I have also put on some DVD boxsets and CD's etc
Had a few items sell already! So i'm up to... £27.62 on the Australia fund!

Pay day is a week Friday so I can update my totals then!

I have now saved £2100.54 but will be getting paid an extra £1000 ish on the 11th add in and then on the 18th I should be able to add another £1100

I really want to get my savings together sooner rather then later so I have thought of a new idea.. ive decided to try and make an extra 5k if possible thats just 1000 ebay items that are worth a fiver each! Just off the top of my head ive wrote a list of 45 items worth hopefully a fiver and I havent even hit the loft yet! It looks like some of my friends are donating a few items too! so its time to start a clear out and get my savings up!:)

Time for an update!

I have been paid and have updated my signature! Feel so proud to have saved 4 grand!!! Can't wait to get the rest together!!

As for the Australia fund I had a clear out and have sorted out 65 items to put on ebay! But I am soo busy between now and new years I plan to put it on the first/second week of Jan and hopefully really bump up my Australia fund!!!

Had another good commission so will hopefully be able to add an extra grand onto my total in Jan's PayDay!!!! and hopefully with all my ebay I can really top up the Holiday Fund!!

Hi everyone,

I am saving for a house deposit and am looking to earn some extra cash.
I work full time and im also full time at college (2 evenings and all day sats) im studying to be a hairdresser.

I found out we have free access to the hairdressing wholesalers, I went a few days ago and couldnt belive just how cheap everything was!

Im wanting to buy bits from the wholesalers and list them on ebay to make a profit. This wont be a long term thing I will be looking to do, just over the next few months to get my savings together/

I have no idea where to start really. I have an ebay account and currently have nearly 300 feedback would it be ok for me to keep my personal account for this? or would I need to open an online ebay shop?

How would I go about paying tax?
Would I need to register as a business?

I want to do everything properly but I just dont know how.

If someone could help me at all it would be very much appriciated

I have again been rubbish with updating this! I will start updating it more!!

Only 52 days till I go on holiday:D soo excited really hoping it doesnt cost tons!!

My savings to date total at £4300 Yay!

I have broken down what I need to save

£7500 for the deposit
£1500 for legal fee's
£1500 for savings ( going to have 3 mortgage payments savings as backup)

So really I have saved both the legal fees and the savings and have only £6200 left to save for the deposit!

I still have tons and tons of stuff to ebay!! Hoping to get it all cleared out this week and will get it put on ebay next week during half term so will hopefully be able to put another couple of hundred towards the total!

My aim is to get up to 5k before my holiday and also save my holiday money!! (hoping to bring between £800 - £1000)

I will keep this updated!!
