I've done the searches through the comparison sites, and they alll bring up the same results in the same order, but I'm still confused as to which is the best deal to go for.

These were my results, can anyone advise as to the best thing to do as I'm not sure how to determine the best capped rate deal?

I'm still confused as to which is the best deal to go for.

So am I. I think it's just scaremongering about everything going up at a massive rate

Actually, I'm confused as to which capped rate deal to take - I do actually believe that the prices are going to go up significantly, so I definitely want a capped deal, I just don't know which is best.

    I'd appreciate any advice.

If you know your usage your postcode, and the current tariff your on, put these into a site such as energyhelpline and it will list all the tariffs avail, and also the expected year costs, if any cancelation fees apply etc

    Hope this helps

I doubt its scaremongering, since the price of gas is link to the cost of oil, and with people such as martin lewis advising to go for a price protection tariff.

I think it very very likely of an increase

How long do we have to get a capped deal before the door closes?

I have emailed Atlantic (who I am with) asking if they do a capped deal but got no reply.

The results from energyhelpline are on my first post at the top of this thread - but as they are all capped until different dates I don't know which is the best deal?

I'm not sure, but I'd imaging the longer we leave it the worse the deal we'll be able to get.

Does anyone have any advice on this? The reason I'm struggling is that the search results (shown at the top of this thread) show capped rates which are all for different periods of time, and are all different prices, so I don't know how to work out which is the best deal, or possible which to avoid?

    Any help appreciated.

  • i'd say of prices are going to keep going up that we want to go for the longest capped period? so long as you can get out with out cancellation fees should the prices stop rising?
