Hi there
I have a BROTHER HL-2030 laser printer and need to add toner. What's the cheapest way of doing this? Can I refill the cartridge and if so, how easy is it to do?!?
Thanks!

You can't refill it yourself. Best thing you can do is to buy a toner cartridge from a third party supplier - the OEM ones tend to be rather pricey.
I use IJT Direct and their prices and products are good. Have a look here (they also sell official ones too):

According to this site you can refill it (search for your printer model)

13.89 for a kit or 12.49 for a bottle of toner (both prices excl. VAT).
I have used toner from these people on a Samsung printer and find that it is fine for about 3 fillings before the quality drops off. Take care not to breathe in toner - it is nasty stuff.0 -

I have been using this company for years and have saved a lot of money on my office laser printers. Once you refill once and get the hang of it is is easy. I usually get three refills per new toner cartridge.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. You guys getting decent results from refills? I've never had to refill or buy a new toner cartridge for my HP 2200DTN but it's probably not going to be long before I run out. I've had it a few years and it was a refurb when I bought it.
How many pages on average do you get from a £13 refill? It's less than £30 for a new (compatible) toner cartridge (~5000 pages quoted).
Argh! Just looked at refilltoner.com and it's more expensive for the kit than for a compatible refill for my printer! Typical. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Oh dear, I just ordered a laser printer with the hope of simply refilling it all the time. Now it looks like 3 refills is probably the max. Oh well, better than a new OEM toner all the time I suppose. Ebay seems to be a good source for cheap toner.0

I run a constant eBay background search for the OEM toner cartridges that my colour laser printer uses. From time to time these appear, original and sealed, at prices less than the cost of either a refill or a compatible. Usually this is because the seller has replaced their printer and is selling off the spare cartridges for their old one.
It's well worth adding this to your Favourite Searches on eBay and getting automatic email alerts on them. Impose a price maximum that makes this economic.
Over the last eighteen months, I have gradually acquired a reserve of new toner cartridges that should last me until the printer itself wears out - all for less than the cost of alternatives.
