I have a new laptop and have a problem with the curser (I think that is what
it is called).
What happens is when I am typing the letters suddenly jump to where the curser is instead of following the text, it is driving me mad.
For instance whilst typing this post I tried to write the ied on tried and the ied jumped and followed the e of text as that is where the curser was left.
Can anyone help It is driving me insane.

It sounds like you might be accidentally brushing the touchpad? My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
It is what it is called, but it is spelled 'cursor'.
A 'curser' is what you have probably become with your jumping text

It must be very sensitive then, I am trying my best not to touch it now to see if it makes a difference, yes it seems to be ok this time!
Thanks, I suppose I will just have to get used to this new laptop being a bit more modern and sensitive than my last one.
No problems typing this post now that I am aware of the problem.
Thanks again.0 -

I *HATE* Laptop touchpads. Even more so the little tip-of-a-snooker-cue things.
I'd probably get a USB mouse if I were you and disable the touchpad. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
You may be able to adjust the touchpad's sensitivity. The settings are probably in the Control Panel or somewhere (depending on laptop make/model)"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
