Condensor kit for tumble dryer, advice please

Hi, My wife wants a tumble dryer and our neighbour has offered us hers for free. It is one of those that needs the big hose to go outside but we have heard you can get a condensor kit, can anyone tell me if they are any good and which ones are best please?

We do not want to drill a hole in the wall for now as it will not be staying where it is hopefully, so we just want to make do for now.

Do those condensor kits work well or do you still get some damp/humidity build up in the room?

Any info appreciated.

The airflow rate out of a tumble dryer is fairly high so a small box with water or ice in it cannot hope to remove much moisture from the air. I think they are a waste of money.
Proper condensing tumble dryers usually recirculate the air in the machine, condensing moisture from the air as it circulates. Air is not vented to the room so doesn't cause problems with damp.
I would get a longer hose and hang it out the window if you can't get a vent hole put in.
