Thanks Lucifa, I may have the choice decided for me as DS is really not well so think I have got to go pick him up from childminder...

Bunny I once had a few days off ill - and I'd booked a hair appt. I told a white lie :o and told my boss that they wouldn't let me cancel at such short notice without a charge - so maybe getting your hair done would actually be very MSE...? And the boost has to be worth it :)

My lovely mum is coming over to babysit for an hour so I can pop into town and try to find a pair of jeans - I've been waiting to lose the baby weight but am going out on Friday for the first time since, well... before I was pregnant... so having a major crisis of confidence. Aargh! I don't know what to wear at all and would rather stay home but that's not the attitude to have is it!

Having recently been in the same situation re buying jeans I would say, buy a pair that look nice and ignore the size it says on the label-it's more important to look good and feel comfortable than trying to fit into a previous size, if you get what I mean.

    and definately GO OUT!
It will do you good-I found having children one of the hardest things for my confidence and it will make you a better Mommy if you're happy in yourself. x

    Hi daphne.

It can be scary going out after a period of not socialising much and I would imagine the changes having a baby has made to your body won't be helping.

I'd go for something that makes you feel good but you know you'll be comfortable in. Remember - you've been invited out because they want to see YOU and not because they want to critique your appearance!

I feel all warm and fuzzy now! Thanks guys :) It is so hard, isn't it. Before Elliot came along I was athletic and slim and didn't really worry about choosing clothes - just walk into a shop, pick it up, buy it. Now I can't do up a size 16 and my proportions are different and the whole thing becomes so emotional...

Everyone told me it would take about 2 years for your body to go back completely normal but I thought I knew better and I'd be back in my jeans by three months! Ha ha ha!

At least the sales are on...

Morning all. I hurt so bad today... my hip is so painful. Think I may have pushed myself a bit tooooo much at the race last night. Ah well.
I do have a dilemma. My 'prize' for doing the race in under 35 mins is the tattoo I want which is going to take about 2-3 hours at £60 a sitting (1 hour). I want to book it... and I've got the spare cash for the first sitting in the account... but in my eyes it's not really spare as we have gone a bit mad with the credit cards recently so would I be better off just putting it towards the debt?
I really want the tattoo, and I've earned it.... but I can't get rid of the ''You should pay it off the debt'' feeling...
    What do you think?

Oh and if anyone's wanting to lose weight.. I HIGHLY recommend running. I started exercising in January with a mix of aerobics classes, swimming etc and then started running when I signed up for the race for life... and I've lost 2 stone since January!
