laguna - new valve needed on tyre
Options
hi,
i have an x-reg laguna (the current shape) which has the tyre pressure monitor system which supplies the tyre pressure levels to the on board display. someone has broken the actual valve on one of my front tyres so i am unable to put any air into the tyre, therefore i need a new valve. because it has to be a special renault valve for the system to display the pressue on the dash, renault are quoting me around £70 fitted!! does anyone know where i may be able to get this cheaper as the independant tyre fitters i have tried are quoting similar amounts because they have to spend around £50 getting the valve in the first place.
i can just get a normal £3 valve fitted but that wouldn't work with the dash display and as i have the function in the car i may as well use it!!
thank you for any help

i thought the best option would be to get a magazine like autotrader and phone around to garages that supplies used alloy wheels and breaker yards in case they have a laguna which is broken for spares. if i am right only the higher spec had this option which means its going to be hard to locate one. naturally make sure the rim etc is not damaged etc etc.
stop being lazy and manually check this one tyre ;-)Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problemsWell at least i learn something on the way
