Nope, you don't have to be invited. It's open to anyone with an existing Virgin Media cable customer. So I presume if you have an ADSL internet connection with Virgin Media then this offer won't apply.

However, it's only available over the phone and the '1st month free' has a maximum value of £19.99 !

So, you're better off going through a cash back site such as Quidco, which currently gives £65.
