in Credit cards
Hi everyone im a credit card numpty so hope you will be able to advise me a bit.
I went into my nationwide branch last week. I have a flex account and a cash builder account with them. My flex account is just a normal one..i can do direct debits from it but its not a debit card. I wanted to upgrade the flex account to a debit card and after doing their credit check thing...computer said no. Was told that i dont have a decent credit score. Ive never had any finance or anything on the knock or any bank loans etc etc.
Anyway ive applied for a paypal credit card and computer said yes..it should be here in 10 days. Its got 6mths interest free on purchases and think its 9mths balance transfer but as i dont have owt to transfer that doesn't apply to me.
What i need to know is how do i pay my monthly statements off? Can i do it at the post office or do i have to do it at nationwide? Could i pay it at a bank where i dont have an account?
I dont really want to do the direct debit option as i want to pay it off in full every month not just the min payment.
I cant do it over the phone as dont have a debit card etc.
The main reason i need this credit card is so that i can shop online. Sorry for being so not clued up on this.
Thanks

Are you aware that,
"when making purchases online using PayPal (with any registered Credit Card details, including the PayPal Credit Card), you are not protected by Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act"
That quote is taken from the small print at the bottom of this page

This T&C is talking about when you use PayPal as the intermediary payment agent, i.e. credit card > PayPal > Recipient's PayPal Account. When used as a stand alone credit card (not via PayPal) S75 will apply.
To answer OP's original question - you can set up a direct debit to pay off in full each month if you like. If you use PO or a bank other than your own you will be charged a fee. The payment method I prefer is by BACS transfer from my current account.

I have Paypal credit card also and log on each month to the Paypal Credit Card site, go to accounts and pay direct from my bank account. I have just e mailed them asking if I can use my card abroad and would there be any charges, or would I just pay monthly as usual.
