Family of 6 looking for cheap holiday abroad

Hello :hello:

My husband and I would dearly love to take our 4 sons abroad for the first time next year.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap holiday which would suit a family like ours? The boys are currently aged 13, 9, 8 and 3 months. I have spent labourious hours combing the internet but everything is way out of our price range. Any suggestions? We would prefer to travel in the summer from Birmingham airport but would be flexible if needs be.

Could you fly from Coventry or even east midlands?

siesta coach holidays, based in leeds are brilliant. They do flying too
but the prices are brilliant and they concentrate on families
    look for their web site.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    I will check out Siesta...thanks :)

We can fly from anywhere in the midlands. Looking for something in the school holidays but would consider term time if the price was right.

What sort of holiday do you want? Beach/activity/city/culture/combination? How long do you want to go for and what is your budget?

Well, we will have 3 lively sons and a baby with us so we really need somewhere that has plenty to do i.e water parks, theme parks etc. Fairly easy going when it comes to the beach, we could take it or leave it so it's not a requirement that we are near the coast. We only want to go for 7 nights as we will have a baby with us. Budget - between one and two thousand pounds which I know will limit our choices. The cheaper the better though ;)

Just had a look actually. They are quite reasonable priced. I noticed that travel by plane would work out roughly the same as coach for us for some reason

Okay I think your kids may like Duinrell near Den Haag and not too far from Amsterdam Schipfol airport. You could get there by plane to Schiphol with KLM or BMI Baby, or you could go by Eurostar to Brussels then Thalys to Den Haag.

Duinrell is a combined amusement park, water park and campsite. There are loads of accommodation options, from Duinrell's own chalets called duingalows, to mobile homes, to tents. There's Eurocamp, Canvas, Thomson, Keycamp, Selectcamp and Happy Camp (probably cheaperst).

    www.duinrell.nl

You'll struggle to spend up to £2000. Train travel to the place should cost no more then £600, flights could be less. A duingalow is approximately £300-£800 a week depending on the season. If you are staying on site, the theme park and water park are all inculsive in the accommodation prices.

Hi I have been looking myself for cheap holidays for next year, dont know if it interests you or not but I found a good deal on Thomson Alfresco a mobile home in Salou Spain I was looking at 10 nights and that was very reasonable. Flights to Reus are very reasonable with the budget airlines, cant get quotes on them yet as they only do about 6 months in advance I think. The site itself has huge swimming pools, kids clubs and evening entertainment, the one I was looking at was Sanguli but they do others. Worth looking at if its your sort of thing.

:T I have been looking at this holiday and it's the best thing I've found so far. I spent all of Friday trying to find the cheapest accommodation here. It really looks good but I'd appreciate other suggestions too as I want to keep out options wide open.
